Post the visit to the Botanical Gardens, proceed to Kandy Temple. A world heritage, as well as a sacred place for Buddhists all over the world, Temple of Tooth Relic (also known as Dalada Maligawa), preserves a sacred tooth relic of Buddha. Tourists are not allowed to see the tooth. However, they can see the gold casket, shaped like a dagoba (stupa), within which it is said to be is displayed twice a day. Along with the main temple, it features a series of smaller temples, shrines and museums. It is suggested to wear clothes that cover legs and shoulders during a visit to the temple. Also, tourists should remove shoes before entering the temple.

The best way to immerse in Sri Lankan culture and tradition is to witness the vibrant cultural dance show in Kandy. one can enjoy the various Kandyan dance forms which were native to the area and later on spread to different regions of the Island. You cruise in canopies, outboard motors powered boats, en route take in the view of a 200-year-old temple and watch the local’s cultivating cinnamon. You may also see traditional fishing techniques in action and can view demonstrations of coir manufacture and rope making. You can also see 46 species of birds reside in the area including 14 aquatic varieties. You will also spot huge water lilies and colourful butterflies.

Next up is the Turtle Hatchery which is the prime location for turtle nesting. Within the sanctuary of the project, collected and rescued eggs can hatch safely away from predators before being released into the sea at night-time when it is safe. At the Turtle Hatchery, there are up to five endangered species of baby turtles where visitors are also allowed to hold them in their palms. The people in charge of the hatchery also provide visitors with information about the different species of turtles.

Bentota is famous for being a top beach in Sri Lanka as well as for its, river cruises and water sports, mainly due to having both river and beach around the location. Thrill seekers can enjoy Jet Skiing (not included, available at an additional cost), a must do with your friends, family or with your loved ones while in Bentota. After a lip-smacking breakfast, get ready to experience the energy of Colombo. Today explore the city of Colombo on a city tour. Drive through the city which will take you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens, Visit Fort, the former British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha & the Independence Square.

For the shopaholics, visit the 5-hectare ribbon of beach stripe, the Galle face green - Colombo biggest seaside promenade and an ocean-side park which offers the best view of the sunset. A few famous shops to visit are Cotton Collection, House of Fashion and Odel, the largest departmental store in the island offers you stylish clothes to cute souvenirs with elegant Sri Lankan touch, also Beverly Street, visit the bargain market in Colombo Pettah, Noritake Showroom, Barefoot, Laksala, One Galle Face & Colombo City Center.

Later, in the evening you can choose to enjoy the nightlife in Colombo and get dropped at a Casino (to be advised). Make way back to the hotel on your own.
